EasyWorship - Updates Coming

Note to all EasyWorship users: If you have not updated your EasyWorship deployment lately...do it..it's free. The most recent update addresses some Vista stability issues.


At the end of last week, October 8-10, I attended the Catalyst Conference in Atlanta. If you've never been, you need to seriously consider this conference for 2009. I will post more on that later. At the conference, I met with a representative from EasyWorship. Since the current version originally came out in 2007, I wanted to know when new updates might be coming out. The good news is that a new release is slated for 2009! Some of the details that I'm able to share with you:

• 2009 is the window...no set date yet
• Cross-platform functionality - EasyWorship will be able to work on PC and Mac
• Sitewide licensing remains - Use one site license for any number of PC's or Macs on site
• Enhanced video functionality - Multiple videos being displayed at one time
• Enhanced User Interface

There will be other enhancements and features as well. As the release date firms up, I'm sure more information will be made available.

I look forward to getting the release and checking it out.

Bear Yarbrough - MIA

Bear Yarbrough is MIA. That's right, he is definitely and completely "Missions In Action" aka MIA. (Had ya there for a minute didn't I?)

I met Bear while at Catalyst08 this year. God has given this young man a vision and a desire for ministry. I could go on and on about his story, but I'll let him tell you in his own words and then I'll have something else for you.

Fireproof the movie

I still haven't gotten to take my wife to see this. We've had some unexpected expenses and with the economy taking a major turn down, all of our expenses have had to be reviewed. However, this video clip came into my inbox from the Fireproof blog and I wanted to share it with you.



Seeing this just makes me want to see the movie so much more.

Oh, and by the way, as of today boxofficemojo.com reports that Fireproof has taken in an estimated $12,491,000. This has already beaten the total box office count of $10,178,331 for Facing the Giants in 2006. I can't wait to hear the ministry that Sherwood Baptist will be able to accomplish as a result.
